There has much debate recently about the use of green waste compost as a surface mulch for weed control by organic growers. One of the problems associated with the excessive use of compost as a mulch is the excessive build up of some soil nutrients, particularly phosphorus. In the attached file, previously published in the Organic Grower, I consider soil analysis results submitted from a grower.
